What is a Slayer?
In every generation there is born one girl with the strength and
skill to act as champion for the forcess of good. It is her sacred
duty to kill--slay whatever demons she comes across, especially
vampires. In this generation, Buffy Summers is the Slayer, though
due to an accident that left her dead for a few moments, two
more have been called since then, and she still lives. Her typical
weapons are her fists and wooden stakes, and she is supposed to
study Slayer and vampire lore, but doesn't. The Slayer is also
given the power to heal incredibly quickly -- almost as fast, and
from nearly as 'deadly' wounds as a vampire would.
